Why we're different
Simpliciter costs less. Why should I pay more for edit.legal?
Because they are two different products. Simpliciter is a research and drafting assistant: you ask a question, you get an answer, within the 200 monthly interactions of the Personal plan. edit.legal is a working platform: a legal editor that puts AI inside the document, agents that analyze case files autonomously, playbooks to standardize reviews, compliance checks on contracts. If you need an answer now and then, an assistant is enough. If AI has to enter the daily workflow of your firm, the math changes: with 30,000 credits a month the price difference pays for itself within the first matters.
What's the difference between your credits and Simpliciter's 200 interactions?
The order of magnitude. 200 interactions a month means about ten requests per working day, a ceiling an active professional hits quickly. edit.legal's 30,000 credits cover thousands of conversations, or hundreds of documents analyzed in depth, or dozens of agents left working for hours. Simpliciter claims over one million sources. Are your databases up to par?
We cover national and European legislation, Supreme Court and lower-court case law, with a difference in method: every answer cites the sources it stands on, and every citation can be verified with one click, opening the official text. Corpus size matters less than retrieval quality: an answer grounded in the three right sources is worth more than one fished out of a million documents. Run the same searches on both and compare the citations: it is the most honest test.
What if I work in Word?
That is the exact scenario we built the add-in for: inside Microsoft Word you get edit.legal's sources, inline AI suggestions, citations inserted into the text, templates and agents, without switching environments. Alternatively there is the platform's native legal editor. Simpliciter does not advertise a Word add-in: integration happens through file uploads and cloud connectors.
